fedora 20: dell broadcom wifi not running after update to kernel-3.17.8

so, i was trying to make my bluetooth run, when i upgraded my kernel to 3.17.8 and lost my wifi

 i did my usual kmod-wl install (http://linusramos.blogspot.com/2014/01/fedora-20-dell-install-broadcom-wifi.html) but it didn't work

got - Requires: kernel-uname-r = 3.17.7-200.fc20.x86_64

 so i installed akmod-wl via yum instead

 that's it!
