i have a dual boot win 7 and fedora 20 desktop that uses a linksys ae3000 usb wifi. usb wifi plug-and-plays on win 7 but doesn't on fedora 20.
so, i found this easy installation howto buy a guy named Balaji Ravindran:

his steps include just the ff:
1. download and extract source driver
2. install prerequisites
3. edit device file
4. compile and install driver
5. run depmod and modprobe
6. +1 for him! ;D
