latex: source file more than 5 years old

i don't remember when was the first time i used latex on my box, but when i tried using it again early this year i couldn't compile my document and got this error:


! LaTeX source files more than 5 years old!

edit your latex.ltx and change \ifnum\count@>65 to a bigger number


it worked! since i had no time to research its real cause and my priority was to produce my document, big thanks to the guy who shared his solution!
